It will become obvious to all as the site
grows that I've a great affection for the Breadvan! Therefore, to
me, Ambulances represent the state of the art! Taking centre stage
P931RYS the Central Scotland Red Cross patient transport and part time
mobile First Aid post. I was only lucky enough to drive her a few times.
But on my final run, 3am from Glasgow to Falkirk on the Sunday the snow
had stopped the Glasgow buses at 1am!!! She excelled herself, the
32 miles took nearly two hours. But the journey was done without alarm
or excursion! Top left is a nice
MK2 Transit on duty during Tram Sunday at Fleetwood. Top right, a more
modern Mercedes at the Biggar Rally. |

Three vehicles that can be described as
"heavy" weights in the Ambulance World. On the left Iveco H228AHS,
another Red Cross vehicle. At the time the picture was taken, it was
stabled at Falkirk awaiting redeployment. In the centre Land Rover
NSC989X on display at Biggar. On the right 23EN97 at Silloth. |

On the left, a badge engineer Renault at
Fleetwood, centre a Mercedes at Beatock, few people live in the area,
but the M74 keeps this vehicle busy sadly. On the left another Mercedes
on Stand By, behind Falkirk Fire station. |
