On a family
trip to the Furness Peninsula in Cumbria I discovered "Furness Cars &
Commercials". Their vehicles are beautifully liveried and must be of
great comfort to the customers being rescued. I've put pictures of their
lighter vehicles on the Van page.
Above are three beautifully turned out
Volvos. Each one a credit to their owners and drivers.
Dropping down the weights, on the left
McAllister's well turned out Ford. Centre an Iveco providing a "full
stop" to the road signs!! Finally, on the right, a Cargo, a good vehicle
destroyed by a real eyesore of a paint job!!!
All three of the above were taken at
Lesmahagow Truck Stop. A well run site that I'm happy to recommend to
the weary or hungry traveller!! Flanking the DAF are two Actros. If your
looking in from DHL..................
Left and right are two Mercedes,
specialist vehicles operate out of Brownriggs yard at Egremont.
Back at Lesmahagow on the 17th March, I
found these two beautifully liveried trucks.
A good use of time spent leaning on a
lampost!!! Whilst waiting for a lift from Lilyhall Depot to Workington
Bus station I snapped the above.
