I found the Stainmore Railway premises at Kirkby Stephen East when
visiting the Eden Classic Rally 2007. Although the railway is only
embryonic it's well worth a visit. |

About five miles west of Brough on the A66 you find Warcop. A wonderful
village and home of the EVR. It's slightly strange to find old Southern
third rail electrics running in Cumbria. But it's a very pleasant place
to visit and see trains. |

Our nearest station is St Bees on the Carlisle to Barrow line, despite
being a rural route, there are some interesting trains and I'll build
the views. |

Whitehaven is the next station going north, below, left to right.
Bransty signalbox, a view of the station looking south, and a
train arriving from Carlisle. |
